Pantea Vahidi has been a caregiver in many capacities caring for loved ones with different conditions since a very young age
She is an educator, researcher, nurse, and a Compassion and Resilience Advisor. Above all Pantea identifies as a lifelong caregiver and she has expanded her nursing practice to care for the world and spread compassion and resilience in all entities around the globe.
Drawing from her patient care experience as a medical/surgical/cardiac/hospice nurse and her design experience as an engineer, she has integrated the science and art of caring to develop powerful educational and training programs on Compassion and Resilience . Vahidi’s courses provide practical skills to use daily.
Vahidi studies the science of compassion and is a member of the Compassion and Empathy Research team at UCSD. Vahidi has trained nurses, physicians, medical students and leaders at hospitals and universities across the nation.
She holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering and a B.S. in Nursing. She was raised in a family that values helping others and recalls growing up with Rumi being recited that “Compassion transforms thorns into flowers” and has made this ancient wisdom the foundation of her personal and work life.
